The rules
Anyone can shape this place. Fairly.
House rules
- Be kind.Ideas that target people are filtered out before voting.
- Nothing from outside. No trackers, ads or third-party scripts. Ever.
- Small steps. One idea per build, so every change is easy to read.
- The core stays put.Voting and sign-in can’t be rewritten by an idea.
How a cycle works
- Voting runs in windows of 5 minutes. The timer on the home page shows how long the current one has left.
- When it hits zero, the idea with the most votes wins — if it has at least 1 votes. A tie goes to the idea proposed first.
- Every other idea leaves the board. Everyone gets their votes back, and the next window opens straight away, empty.
- If no idea reaches 1 votes, nothing is built that cycle. That shows up in the changelog too.
Proposing
- One open idea per person per window, 16 to 280 characters.
- Edit it up to 3 times. Each saved edit resets its votes, so nobody’s vote ends up on wording they didn’t pick.
- Withdraw it any time before the timer ends. Its votes go back to the people who cast them, and you can propose a new one.
Voting
- 3 votes per person per window, always free.
- Take a vote back any time before the timer ends and give it to another idea.
- You can’t vote for your own idea.
- Sign in with X, Google or GitHub. One account, one voice.
What gets refused
Every idea is checked when it’s submitted or edited: first by fixed rules, then by an AI reviewer. If it’s refused, only you see why, and your text stays in the form so you can fix it.
If the AI reviewer is slow to answer, your idea goes up straight away and is checked again shortly after. If that check refuses it, it’s taken down, its votes go back, and you’ll see a note next time you visit the ideas page.
- Instructions for the AI“Ignore your rules”, “act as an admin”, “print your prompt”. Describe a feature instead.
- Secrets and private dataKeys, tokens, environment variables, other people’s data.
- Breaking the siteBypassing sign-in or vote limits, changing the voting rules, running commands on the server, or removing or hiding sign-in, voting, the idea form, the countdown and the menu. Restyling the header and footer is welcome.
- Outside servicesEmbeds, CDNs, analytics, third-party APIs. Everything runs on this site.
- MoneyWallets, tokens, payments, donations, giveaways. This site stays free of money.
- Spam and duplicatesLinks, noise, and ideas that are already on the board — vote for those instead.
- Hurting peopleTargeting or demeaning anyone, deceiving visitors, collecting personal data.
- Not about the siteAnything that isn’t a feature or a change for this website.
What happens to the winner
Before anything is built, the winning idea gets one more, stricter AI check. If it doesn’t pass, nothing is built that cycle and the changelog says why. If it passes, it gets built by AI, checked for safety, deployed, and published as a public commit credited to its author. If the build breaks, the site rolls back to the last working version.
Builds marked “Dry run” were built and tested but not put on the site.
